We were fortunate enough to get our hands on the Foxtrot edition of the Basecamp watch and aesthetic wise it is quite the looker with its unique sandblasted, matte finish inspired by the raw industrial finishing on tools; a glossy bezel plus a crystal sapphire lens and thick genuine leather vintage diver wristband – it is guaranteed to turn some heads. With this edition of the Basecamp series of watches you also now get the bonus of improved water resistance and different color options to choose from. It is also worth mentioning that each watch is 100% custom made from initial order to completion and comes with a full 1-year warranty for added reassurance.
After wearing the Foxtrot this past few weeks exclusively, there is a vintage charm that comes with this timepiece that makes this an absolute joy to wear. Normally, I wear an Apple Watch and swapping this out for a classy and robust watch like the Sandblast Foxtrot brought all the modern functionality I needed without the bells and whistles and annoying daily charges. It is a handsome watch if you can call a watch that, and almost everywhere I went, people were asking me “what watch is that” which is a testament to its inimitable design motif.
To sum up, perhaps that is the best way to describe the Undone Basecamp watch, it is the type of watch that is made with purpose, it brings all the functionality you need in an unassuming steampunk inspired style that just looks great on the wrist and for that reason alone, it wholeheartedly gets our recommendation.
