When the original Lovense Gush hit the scene, it was hailed as a minimalist revolution—a simple, vibration-focused “cuff” that let you focus on the finish line without the manual labor. But as any sequel-obsessed director will tell you, “bigger and faster” is the name of the game. The Lovense Gush 2 ($99.00) arrives as the high-octane successor, trading the sleek simplicity of the original for a beefier design, more power, and a new oscillation feature that aims to turn your solo sessions into a full-blown orchestral performance.
The star of the show this time around isn’t just the vibration, but the frenulum-targeted oscillation. While the original Gush relied on steady rumbles, the Gush 2 adds a secondary motor specifically designed to oscillate against the most sensitive real estate on the underside of the shaft. It’s a specialized sensation that feels more like “stroking” than “buzzing,” and when paired with the upgraded 4,300 RPM motor, the intensity is frankly startling. For those who found the original model a bit too polite, the Gush 2 is the equivalent of upgrading from a commuter sedan to a turbocharged muscle car.

One of the most pragmatic upgrades is the move to adjustable silicone bands. The first-generation Gush used fixed elastic bands that required a fair bit of “luck and tug” to secure. The Gush 2 features a “buttonhole” strap system, allowing you to fine-tune the tension whether you’re using it for light edging or a full-speed sprint. This makes the device truly hands-free; once it’s locked in, it stays in place, allowing you to use your phone, read a book, or—more likely—navigate the endless patterns in the Lovense app without having to constantly reposition the hardware.
However, the laws of acoustics are a stubborn hurdle. All that extra power comes with a noticeable increase in volume. While the Gush 1 was a stealthy companion, the Gush 2 hums with the confidence of a small hair dryer at higher speeds. It’s not “wake the neighbors” loud, but it’s certainly not a “keep it a secret in a shared house” toy. Furthermore, the battery life is a bit of a trade-off; you can expect about 30 to 45 minutes of use at peak intensity. While that’s usually plenty for a single session, the 75-minute recharge time means you need to be diligent about keeping it juiced up.

Of course, a Lovense review is incomplete without mentioning the Remote App. The connectivity remains the gold standard of the industry, allowing for long-distance control that makes video calls significantly more interactive. The “Media Sync” feature, which vibrates in time with music or adult content, works flawlessly here, though the app can still be a bit of a data-hungry maze for new users. It’s a toy that almost demands your phone be nearby to unlock its full potential, as the on-device buttons are a bit limited compared to the millions of user-created patterns available online.
Ultimately, the Gush 2 is a “more is more” upgrade. It’s heavier (195g vs. the original’s 133g) and louder, but it’s also significantly more effective at what it sets out to do. If you’re a fan of targeted frenulum stimulation and want a device that can keep pace with your most intense sessions while leaving your hands free for… other activities, the Gush 2 is a worthy investment. It’s a specialized tool that knows exactly where the “magic” happens and refuses to let go until the job is done.
