SWIMS Penny Loafer

The classic loafer is a must have Summer wardrobe essential, they’re comfortable and classier that the classic flip flop or sandal and are perfect for the beach, a stroll to the local coffee shop or a twilight get together. Only one company has mastered the art of a stylish yet practical loafer in our eyes, and that company is SWIMS.

SWIMS started in their home in Oslo, Norway where they breathed new life into the utilitarian galosh common to the people of their home country and reinvented it with a bold new personality. Marrying true function with a timeless classic, they went on to develop their loafer line and have grown to serve the lifestyle of international urban travelers with a need for function, quality, and design.

Their Penny Loafer is a testament to their commitment to bringing purposeful yet stylish loafers into mainstream men and women’s fashion. Inspired by the original Norwegian Aurland penny loafer circa 1800, the shoe itself features a 3D molded TPU structure with an anti-bacterial mesh liner. The upper is very comfortable, breezy and the non-marking natural rubber sole adds good grip to most surfaces.

What puts SWIMS loafers in their own unique field is the fact that not only are they machine washable but also feature quick dry technology where water simply drains away to make sure your feet always stay dry. No more sweaty Summer soles. We must say are big fans of the non-slip grip and in the same breath, the shoe mold itself conforms well to the foot and is very comfortable even after long hours on your feet – trust us, these are music festival approved!

SWIMS continue to impress us with their collection of loafers, galoshes, lace-ups, and boots. They are well made but more importantly very suitable for someone that wants multi-purpose, chic, and functional footwear suitable for most environments.
